Celebrate Women Award 2026 – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Celebrate Women Award 2026 hosted by Yeah The Girls 40 Plus Community Pty Ltd (“the Organiser”). By submitting a nomination, entering the awards, participating in public voting, purchasing a gala ticket, or attending the Gala Night, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. The 2026 award is presented by the Yeah The Girls 40 Plus community, however the award itself is open to all women aged 18 years and over.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Celebrate Women Award 2026 is open to individuals who identify as women and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

1.2 The award is open to women in business and women in the wider community. It is not limited to members of the Yeah The Girls 40 Plus community.

1.3 Nominees may reside in Australia or internationally unless otherwise stated by the Organiser.

1.4 All entries must be submitted in English.

1.5 Nominees must consent to participate and complete the applicable entry requirements, including any written responses, supporting materials, and any additional information requested by the Organiser.

1.6 Entrants may enter up to three (3) categories.

2. Nomination and Entry Process

2.1 Nominations are free and may be submitted either by the nominee herself or by another person on her behalf. Self-nomination is encouraged.

2.2 Nominations close on Monday, 1 June 2026.

2.3 Once nominated, the nominee may choose to formally enter one or more award categories.

2.4 The entry fee is AUD $89 per category.

2.5 Final entry submissions close on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

2.6 Any nomination or entry received after the stated deadlines may be refused at the Organiser’s discretion.

2.7 Incomplete, false, misleading, or non-compliant entries may be deemed invalid.

3. Entry Fees and Refunds

3.1 All entry fees are non-refundable, including where an entrant withdraws, is disqualified, is not selected as a finalist, or has a change in personal circumstances.

3.2 Submission of payment does not guarantee finalist selection, winning status, publicity, or commercial opportunity.

3.3 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse or cancel an entry where these Terms and Conditions have been breached.

4. Judging and Voting

4.1 The Celebrate Women Award 2026 includes 15 award categories.

4.2 Entries will be reviewed by the Organiser’s judging panel based on criteria including strength of story, personal or professional impact, growth, resilience, achievements, and alignment with the selected category.

4.3 Finalists are expected to be selected and notified in early August 2026.

4.4 Public voting for the People’s Champion Award opens on Tuesday, 14 July 2026 and closes on Friday, 31 July 2026.

4.5 The People’s Champion Award is determined by community voting. Other category outcomes are determined by the Organiser and judging panel.

4.6 The Organiser’s decisions are final. No correspondence or disputes regarding judging outcomes will be entered into.

5. Finalist and Winner Recognition

5.1 Finalists receive a recognition package promoted by the Organiser as having an approximate value of AUD $1,500 per finalist. This may include an official finalist certificate, digital magazine feature, social media spotlight, professional recognition assets, group coaching, invitation to the Gala Night, finalist grand entrance, and community recognition.

5.2 Winners receive a recognition package promoted by the Organiser as having an approximate value of AUD $3,000 per winner. This may include everything in the finalist package plus a trophy, extended feature coverage, interview opportunities, speaking opportunities, branding assets, priority invitations, and ambassador recognition.

5.3 Package inclusions, timing, delivery, media exposure, and promotional features may be amended by the Organiser at its discretion.

5.4 Any package values stated by the Organiser are promotional estimates only and are not redeemable for cash.

6. Gala Night

6.1 The Celebrate Women Award Gala Night 2026 will be held on Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at the Parkview Room, Doltone House, Darling Island, Sydney, NSW.

6.2 The Gala Night is a separate ticketed event.

6.3 Ticket purchase terms, pricing, inclusions, seating arrangements, and any dietary or accessibility requests are subject to the Organiser’s booking process and venue requirements.

6.4 Tickets to the Gala Night are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

6.5 Attendance at the Gala Night may be encouraged, but entry into the awards process itself does not guarantee a complimentary gala ticket unless expressly stated by the Organiser.

6.6 The Organiser reserves the right to change the venue, room, event format, running order, entertainment, speakers, presenters, or schedule where reasonably necessary.

7. Photography, Videography and Media Consent

7.1 By attending the Gala Night or any associated awards activity, participants consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded.

7.2 The Organiser may use photographs, videos, audio, names, business names, testimonials, and award-related content for promotional, editorial, archival, publicity, and marketing purposes across print, digital, social media, video, and website channels.

7.3 Participants who do not wish to appear in certain promotional materials must notify the Organiser in writing before the event. The Organiser will make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee exclusion from crowd or event footage.

8. Intellectual Property and Content Use

8.1 Entrants retain ownership of their original written and visual materials.

8.2 By submitting a nomination or entry, entrants grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish, adapt, edit, and promote submitted content for award administration and promotional purposes.

8.3 Entrants confirm that all submitted content is their own, or that they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to submit it.

8.4 Entrants indemnify the Organiser against any claim arising from breach of intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or defamation laws caused by their submitted content.

9. Privacy

9.1 The Organiser will collect, use, store, and manage personal information for the purposes of administering the awards, contacting nominees and entrants, managing Gala Night attendance, conducting publicity, and promoting the Celebrate Women movement.

9.2 Personal information may be shared with judges, contractors, suppliers, venues, media partners, ticketing providers, and service providers where reasonably required for award administration and event delivery.

9.3 By entering, participants consent to the use of their personal information in accordance with these Terms and applicable Australian privacy laws.

9.4 Participants may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting the Organiser.

10. Participant Conduct and Disqualification

10.1 The Organiser may disqualify or remove any entrant, finalist, winner, voter, guest, or attendee who:

submits false, misleading, plagiarised, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content;

breaches these Terms and Conditions;

engages in bullying, harassment, abuse, intimidation, or misconduct;

manipulates or attempts to manipulate public voting or award processes;

behaves in a way that brings the award, gala, Organiser, venue, sponsors, judges, or community into disrepute.

10.2 The Organiser may request proof of identity, age, eligibility, authorship, or consent at any stage.

11. Public Voting Integrity

11.1 The Organiser reserves the right to monitor, verify, suspend, remove, discount, or disqualify votes where it reasonably suspects fraud, bot activity, vote buying, duplicate voting, manipulation, or unfair conduct.

11.2 The Organiser’s decision regarding vote validity is final.

12. No Reliance / No Guarantees

12.1 Participants acknowledge that involvement in the awards and gala is intended for recognition, celebration, visibility, and community participation purposes only.

12.2 The Organiser does not guarantee any particular level of publicity, media coverage, exposure, business growth, audience reach, votes, finalist status, winning outcome, leads, sales, or other commercial or personal result.

12.3 Participants confirm they have not relied on any representation, promise, or expectation not expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions.

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense, injury, disappointment, technical issue, or inconvenience arising from:

nomination or entry submission errors;

payment issues;

public voting interruptions;

website or platform downtime;

event changes, postponement, or cancellation;

acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, venues, sponsors, presenters, or service providers.

13.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

14. Event Changes, Force Majeure and Cancellation

14.1 The Organiser may postpone, reschedule, relocate, modify, or cancel any part of the awards process or Gala Night if reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, including venue issues, illness, safety concerns, weather events, government restrictions, technical failure, industrial action, or force majeure events.

14.2 Where this occurs, the Organiser’s liability will be limited to the minimum required by law.

15. Entire Agreement

15.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Organiser and participants in relation to the Celebrate Women Award 2026 and supersede all prior discussions, communications, understandings, or representations, whether verbal or written.

16. Severability

16.1 If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that part will be severed and the remainder will continue in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law

17.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

17.2 Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
