đż Expanding Doesnât Always Feel Expansive

Growth doesnât always glow â sometimes it just gets really, really real.
When people talk about âexpansion,â it sounds exciting.
Bold.
Like a fresh start or a breakthrough moment where everything clicks into place.
But letâs be honestâwhen youâre a mum, especially over 40, expansion can feel more like barely holding it all together.
It doesnât look like glowing-up or levelling-up.
It looks like three new specialist appointments, an overflowing washing basket, and emotional growth that feels more like an identity crisis.
Itâs not a breakdown â youâre just outgrowing your old life.
Hereâs what we want you to know: expansion doesnât always feel good.
Sometimes itâs raw.
Sometimes itâs ragey.
Sometimes itâs realising that the life youâve built needs adjustingânot because youâve failed, but because youâve grown.
At From The Heart, we believe expansion is about more than doing more.
Itâs about making roomâfor your needs, your voice, your truth.
Itâs about softening into who you really are, and shedding who you were taught to be.
What Expansion Might Look Like
đ¸ Saying no more often
đ¸ Crying in the car and calling that emotional processing
đ¸ Setting boundaries and not feeling bad about them
đ¸ Less people-pleasing and more self-pleasing
đ¸ More stillness
đ¸ More you
Growth Doesnât Always Feel Good â But Itâs Still Growth
Expansion can look like chaos and feel like clarity in disguise.
And yes, it might feel messy as hell. Growth usually is.
But if things feel shaky right now, maybe itâs not that youâre breaking down.
Maybe youâre just outgrowing the version of life that once fit.
So take the space.
Take the time.
Take the pressure off.
Youâre allowed to evolve â and you donât need permission or perfection to do it.
đ We see you. Weâre with you. And weâre cheering for every wild, worthy inch of your expansion.
