The Season of You: What Nature Knows That We Keep Forgetting

✨ Not Everything Blooms at Once.
Make this the Season of You.
It’s June.
We are halfway through the year.
And for many of us, the instinct is to just keep going —
Head down, powering through, one task after another.
But nature is telling a different story.
🌱 In the Southern Hemisphere — It’s Winter.
Nature slows down.
Trees stop growing.
The soil rests.
No pressure to perform.
Just time to pause, to store energy for what comes next.
☀️ In the Northern Hemisphere — It’s Summer.
Everything is growing —
but it’s not yet ready to be harvested.
This is the season for tending.
Feeding what matters.
Letting things take shape.
We are part of nature.
Yet we often ignore its rhythm, pushing ourselves to keep:
Producing
Fixing
Solving
Supporting
Doing
All the time.
Especially as women who do too much.
Who hold it all together.
Who rarely stop — and who step up when someone else needs care.
❤️ From Overextending to Honouring Ourselves
Here is where one word can make a difference.
The distinction between:
Caring for someone — taking responsibility for their needs
Caring about them — supporting without overextending
What if we were taught something new?
What if we could care about others
while also caring for ourselves?
What if your self-care was reason enough to pause?
We forget:
Nurturing is not about overextending ourselves.
It’s about noticing that what needs care includes us.
“There is no more powerful force than
a woman determined to nurture herself.”
— Mel Robbins
🌸 Maybe It’s Your Turn.
Nature slows down.
Maybe it’s time you do too.
It’s knowing:
When to stop
When to breathe
When to ask: “What do I need right now?”
And then, letting yourself:
Ask for help
Say no without guilt
Say yes to rest
So you can nurture yourself in the way you prefer.
That may look like:
Taking time away
Being quiet
Moving your body
Creating something beautiful
Laughing loudly
Enjoying good company
A day without questions
A day without plans
A day just. for. you.
You get to decide what replenishes you.
Make sure you do.
